Lily was on great form yesterday as a guest of Jo Whiley in the Live Lounge! She kicked off proceedings with 'Smile', which looks sets to make a BIG new entry on the single chart this week, and also treated listeners to a cracking cover version of The Kooks' 'Nave'.

My Great Trip in the west of Turkey!

I'm home. I arrived back on Sunday in the morning. I have been so busy since I've been back that I haven't really had time to post about my trip.I had a wonderful time. It was so good to spend time with my "BOYSAN" one of my best firends, again. I had forgotten just how much I miss him! He was a great hostess & friend in Akyarlar, Bodrum city and took time off work while I was there. We went to beach on the first day, Monday. Tue, Wed were the reception so we were very busy with that. hehehe..I met his family on Monday too. On Tuesday we just lazed around with Boysan, his family and enjoyed time chatting with each other. I swam everyday ....drank more beer! I also so happy to meet Tarık Akan and other old movie stars while swmimming. The above picture is near the sea. Look out the sea not far from my room.


I had a really wonderful time with Boysan and his parents! but also it's nice to be back home!!

I'm off again :)

Well, I'm leaving for Bodrum city on Sunday night. I'll only be gone a few days. I'm making the trip down to finally meet my old dormmate. I'm looking forward to huging him and seeing his reaction to me:). I have posted some new pictures of my trip to Akyarlar for you all to see while I'm in Bodrum. I'll try to take pictures of the mountains there too and not just my friend, Boysan. Be back on Saturday!

I made this list just a while ago... Here's the stuff I miss so far...

1. relatives
2. Arda, Jan, Boysan, Nedret, Asya, Nice etc :)
3. giant strawberries and cherries
4. weather (it's currently hot there now, but it's still bearable)
5. not putting up as much (my old and crazy jeans) when going out (people couldn't care less if you go to the mall in clothes you usually wear only at home)
6. posh cars that you constantly see and drool on just imagine to drive my old cars :)
7. foreign money and foreign people
8. freshly squeezed lemonade
9. bottomless drinks everywhere
10. taking loads of pictures
11. swim and swim
12. eating fish
13. draw black and white...
14. dance beside the sea
15. sleep
16. kiss my love more than before...

Have you read that book? This book is extremely well written. Books make me happy, and complete me as a person. Scared off yet? lol. ;-) I get excited over book releases, go to Dost Kitapevi (Dost Bookstore) several times a month to check out what is new on the shelves, and carry around at least one 'for pleasure' book with me at all times (even to class).

Street basketball in my city, ANKARA

For Erkin street basketball is a very popular spor , has played for along time.
As you know street basketball players generally range in age from age 5 to 50. But I started playing the sport at middle school level at a few Turkish schools. You know street ball unlike professional basketball, a person's life as a street baller may span decades because the game requires little training and is played for fun ( I just bet on dessert:))) such as baklava, ice-cream ). Street basketball also does not involve a rigorous schedule; participants may choose to play ten games in one day or one game in ten days. Usually only one side of the court is used, you must see me last weekend!! even yesterday. I broke the rules but otherwise the rules of the game are very similar to those of professional basketball. The number of participants in a game, or a run, may range from two - one defender and one attacker ( I don't like to attack as Arda! :) But five of us always play wonderful as girls!!!
